Elongated Oval Cut Gemstones

A standard oval sits around 1.35 to 1.45 long-to-wide. Push past that and it becomes its own shape: narrower, more dramatic, and noticeably finger-lengthening, because the eye follows the long axis down the hand. It is the choice when a regular oval reads too soft or too round.

Length is not free. The longer an elongated brilliant runs, the more likely a bow-tie — a dark band shadowed across the waist — so check the middle stays lit face-up. Still no point or corner to guard. Standard millimeter sizes.
