A natural tourmaline in the glowing, pool-water blue-green that copper produces and almost nothing else does — the color the trade calls Paraiba. It weighs 1.10 carats and measures 7.76 x 5.6 x 3.9 mm, cut as an oval. We describe it as Paraiba-type rather than Paraiba, and the distinction is deliberate: the Paraiba name belongs to copper-bearing tourmaline whose chemistry a laboratory has confirmed, and this stone reached us without a report. The color is the reason it is priced where it is. If you would like it independently tested before it ships, ask us and we will arrange it.
