Straight Baguette-Cut

A baguette is a plain rectangle cut in steps — a few long parallel facets and nothing else. It is not trying to sparkle; it is trying to be a clean line. Straight baguettes have parallel sides, which is what lets a row of them sit shoulder to shoulder in a channel with no wedge-shaped gap between one stone and the next.

That makes them the workhorse of Deco bands, side rows and geometric borders. Exact dimensions matter more here than in any center stone, so standard millimeter sizing is the whole point.
