Elongated Cushion-Cut

Take a cushion and pull it. The rounded pillow corners stay, the outline stretches, and the stone covers more of the finger for the same weight — which is the reason to choose one. Where a square cushion reads soft and antique, the elongated version reads longer and more deliberate.

Look for a ratio somewhere between 1.20 and 1.40; past that it starts to read as a rectangle and loses the pillow softness that made it a cushion. Standard millimeter sizes, and no sharp corner means no special mounting needed in our builder.
