Cushion-Cut

The cushion descends from the antique old-mine cut: a square or rectangle with corners rounded into a pillow. What it does with light depends on how it is faceted. Chunky facets flash in big slow blocks; crushed ice scatters into fine glitter; a checkerboard crown, which about a third here carry, breaks the top into mirrors.

Standard millimeter sizes, ready for the bench — and with no sharp corner to chip, the outline asks nothing special of a mounting in our builder.
